Music I Missed in 2009 (but am totally digging right now)

So, I've been perusing a lot of "best of 2009" lists, and have realized I've missed a lot of really good music. Here are some albums that are on repeat at the moment.

Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, Phoenix
First off, awesome album title. Second off, awesome first single title (Lisztomania). Third off, super dance-able (and you know how much I love that). Fourth off, I really love this video for Lisztomania.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Actually, I think this album came out in 2008, if memory serves me right, but eh, missed is missed.
I saw the music video for "Home" during finals week and subsequently had the song stuck in my head during my exams. I promptly downloaded it the morning before going to the airport (second attempt out of three) and it was definitely a comfort to listen to while I was sitting in Seatac for eight hours.
But I like this album because I enjoy the idea of a traveling band of hippies from a commune who make sweet sweet music with Southern twang and soul. I also love their music videos-- they all definitely have a very 70s aesthetic to them.
Also, Jade Castellanos rocks the tambourine. What's more to love?

Bitte Orca
, The Dirty Projectors
The Bride is playing right now, and wow. The vocals had me quite confused for a moment there-- I couldn't tell if the singer was a dude or a chick for a while. Yay musical androgyny? I haven't listened to this album too extensively yet, but I already feel warm towards it. We'll have a long, two and a half hour train ride to NYC this Friday to acquaint ourselves. :)
